Contractor Quick Guide: Ordering Reinforcing From SC
From bending schedule to delivery on site, here is everything you need to order reinforcing steel from SC Reinforcing.

- You get a quote within one working day, valid for 30 days.
- Delivery is usually within one to two working days.
1. Send your bending schedule
Email it, WhatsApp a photo, or load it on the Client Portal if you are a registered client. Drawings are fine if you do not have a schedule, and we accept PDF, JPG, PNG and Excel files.
Use the standard shape codes on your schedule. For any shape not covered, use shape code 99 and include a dimensioned sketch. Our shape codes guide is free to download.
2. Get your quote
We check the schedule and send you a price within one working day. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
3. Confirm your order
Accept the quote and pay, or order on your credit account. Cash clients pay before cutting starts. Credit applications can take up to a week to approve, and credit terms are set when your account is approved. Register as a client.

4. We cut, bend, load and deliver
Your steel is prepared in our yard to your schedule and SANS 282 rules. It is bundled, loaded on one of our crane trucks and delivered to site, usually within one to two working days.
Getting your site ready
- The truck needs safe access and firm ground to set up the crane.
- Have one or two people on site to help offload safely and quickly.
- Offloading is the contractor’s responsibility, but we assist with the truck crane and a certified driver who operates the crane.
- Saturday and after-hours deliveries are by special arrangement.
Prefer to collect?
Collections from Mossel Bay are from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Thursday, and until 13:00 on Fridays. Weekends are by special arrangement only. See How to Order or the FAQ for more.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum order?
No. Very small orders are delivered on the next truck going in that direction.
What file types can I send?
PDF, JPG, PNG and Excel files, up to 10 MB each. Drawings are fine if you do not have a bending schedule.
Can I order online?
Yes. Registered clients can use the Client Portal to quote and order online and track orders through to delivery.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is by EFT. Cash clients pay before cutting starts.
