Where it all started
SC Reinforcing opened in Mossel Bay in 2010. In 2017 we moved to our current yard at 9 Barrier Street, Mossdustria, and that same year the yard went off grid on solar power.
Production that keeps moving
The yard runs 24 hours a day, five days a week. When the day shift ends, the night shift takes over the cutting, bending and loading, so work on your order does not stop overnight. Your bending schedule is prepared in our yard and every bar is cut and bent to SANS 282, so the steel leaves labelled, bundled and ready to fix.
Manufacturing is scheduled between our Mossel Bay and George branches to meet your required delivery date and time.
From schedule to site
- Send us your bending schedule. Drawings are fine if you do not have a schedule.
- We check it and send you a price within one working day.
- Confirm your order, and we cut and bend your steel to the schedule.
- Your order is bundled and loaded on one of our crane trucks.
- We deliver to site, usually within one to two working days.

The team behind it
Behind every order is a team of 25 people across both branches. In Mossel Bay, Linda Johnson manages both yards, with Nicky Marx on admin, Rudi Quickfall as foreman, Quinton Williams on the bender and Ishmael Beje driving. Meet the team.
Visiting the yard
Collections from the Mossel Bay yard are from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Thursday, and until 13:00 on Fridays. Weekends are by special arrangement only, and we are closed on public holidays. See the Mossel Bay branch page for directions.
